Senior Product Manager

Role Overview

As a Senior Product Manager, you act as a Screening expert who identifies product opportunities and enhancements based on client needs. You bridge the gap between technical teams and business goals, leading products with significant technical complexity—from concept through final release.

Responsibilities

• Ensure technical solutions meet business needs and user requirements.
• Drive innovation by understanding technical constraints and opportunities.
• Own and maintain the Product Roadmap (N+3 backlog) with clearly articulated, prioritized technical requirements/user stories.
• Gather insights directly from end-user clients and translate business needs into product requirements.
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert on competitive analysis and technical challenges in the Background Screening industry.
• Assess and mitigate technical risks.
• Analyze data pipelines, algorithms, and automated systems to identify and deliver improved capabilities.
• Use database queries to analyze performance indicators and data trends to find improvement opportunities.
• Explore enhancements to increase profitability.
• Provide product training and research documentation for Sales & Support.
• Coordinate product releases with Marketing, Sales, Development, Support, and Customer Success.
• Represent RealPage professionally internally and externally.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in a software technology or SaaS company, preferably with a technical background.
• Experience with:
  • Product management tools (e.g., Azure TFS, Jira)
  • Infrastructure and integrations
  • Full-stack software development
  • SQL
  • AI tooling listed: Copilot, Claude
• Understanding of engineering processes and technologies.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software development lifecycles.
• Industry knowledge in areas such as Multifamily, Self-storage, Senior Housing, Real Estate, etc.
• Technical expertise in Screening domain and how tech trends affect the roadmap.
• Ability to collaborate across teams (developers, engineers, architects, QA, operations).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.

Nice to Have

• Certifications such as Certified Product Manager (CPM) or Agile Certified Project Manager (ACPM).
• Additional strengths in AI/ML understanding, including limitations and implementation challenges.
