Senior Product Manager

Role Overview

Own the product vision and roadmap for Nitrogen’s suite of insurance, institutional, and ecosystem products, turning complex financial planning domains into simple, differentiated software experiences advisors and clients love.

Responsibilities

• Own product vision and roadmap across insurance, institutional, and ecosystem product areas.
• Drive the full product lifecycle: conceptualization, prioritization, execution, go-to-market collaboration, and post-launch iteration.
• Maintain deep domain expertise in relevant planning domains to earn trust from advisors, partners, and the media.
• Translate complex planning concepts into intuitive product experiences.
• Represent Nitrogen externally as a domain authority (customer conversations, conferences, podcasts, written content, interviews).
• Build and maintain a continuous feedback loop with customers, prospects, and industry experts.
• Manage and develop Product Owners, setting expectations and ensuring high-quality execution.
• Partner with Engineering, Design, and GTM to ship on a predictable cadence.
• Make evidence-based prioritization decisions and clearly communicate them, including tradeoffs.
• Maintain working understanding of the regulatory, tax-code, and insurance-industry landscape.
• Define and track success metrics and use them for continuous improvement.
• Align the planning product roadmap with company strategy and revenue objectives.

Requirements

• Expert fluency in how insurance is manufactured, distributed, and compensated (carrier economics, distribution channels, compensation structures).
• Deep, practical knowledge of how insurance and annuities are built, sold, and compensated.
• Expert-level annuity and retirement-income expertise.
• Strong life insurance fluency (product design, underwriting, and advisor use cases).
• Working knowledge of tax and estate/legacy planning concepts and ability to translate them into product.
