About the role
Role overview
Senior Product Manager to own ModeSens’ core Shopping Experience product area across web, app, and browser extension. The role is end-to-end, covering the full funnel from anonymous visitor → activation → repeat use and habit, and serving as an experimentation engine for growth.
Responsibilities
- Own the product roadmap for shopping experience across web, app, and browser extension.
- Define and drive an experimentation strategy across the funnel (landing, search, onboarding, engagement like wishlist/alerts, and re-engagement) to improve activation and retention.
- Partner with Data to understand user behavior and funnel performance; prioritize highest-impact opportunities.
- Design and run high-quality A/B tests: create hypotheses, define success metrics, partner on analysis, and translate learnings into decisions.
- Collaborate with Design and Engineering to deliver intuitive shopping flows that help users find items quickly and feel confident about price/discounts/store choice.
- Work with Product Marketing to align product and messaging to bring users back and build habits.
- Balance user growth/engagement with ecommerce outcomes (e.g., purchase conversion and downstream revenue), making trade-offs as needed.
- Communicate priorities, decisions, and results clearly to stakeholders and executives.
Requirements
- 4–6+ years of product management experience with meaningful ownership of consumer-facing products.
- Hands-on experience driving growth for consumer products (activation, engagement, retention), ideally via structured experimentation.
- Strong A/B testing skills: comfortable defining hypotheses and metrics, scoping tests, and working with Data to interpret results.
- Data-driven partnering skills without needing to write SQL: ask the right questions, collaborate with analysts, and act on insights.
- Ability to work end-to-end: problem framing, opportunity sizing, specs, execution, launch, and iteration.
- Strong product sense and user empathy for consumer shopping/decision-making journeys.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; can articulate trade-offs and influence cross-functional partners.
- Experience in early- or growth-stage environments with high ambiguity.
Nice to have
- Experience working on consumer ecommerce.
