About the role

Role Overview

Talkspace is hiring a Senior Product Manager, Growth to design and optimize the member onboarding experience. You’ll help new users find the right provider and feel confident beginning their mental health journey—using data and human-centered product practices.

Responsibilities

  • Own onboarding strategy and roadmap from sign-up through first session, aligning short-term execution with a long-term vision.
  • Improve activation and early engagement by:
    • identifying drop-off points,
    • designing targeted interventions,
    • iterating quickly via A/B tests and rapid experimentation.
  • Build integrated experiences with trusted partners to increase referrals and reduce barriers to care.
  • Create personalized onboarding experiences using AI to adapt to client needs, preferences, and constraints.
  • Own growth instrumentation: define key events, measurement, and analytics to generate actionable insights on member behavior.
  • Partner with Engineering, Design, and Data Science to ship onboarding flows that reduce friction and improve therapeutic success while balancing quality, speed, and scalability.

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience as a Product Manager delivering consumer-facing products.
  • Experience growing and optimizing digital health (digital therapy/psychiatry) platforms.
  • Experience at a telehealth or digital mental health company, with strong understanding of therapy adoption and patient engagement.
  • Strong growth track record across user acquisition, activation, and retention.
  • Experience leading data-driven decisions using tools such as Mixpanel, Looker, or internal A/B testing platforms.
  • Ability to break down complex problems across business and technical dimensions.
  • Empathy and user obsession; strong analytical mindset with rigorous experimentation.
  • Business acumen to estimate value, effort, and dependencies; clear cross-functional communication.

Nice to Haves (Bonus Points)

  • Prior experience as a Growth PM in B2C or B2B2C.
  • Background in digital psychiatry or telehealth.
  • Experience working in a marketplace model and optimizing funnel conversion (especially mobile-first).
  • Experience with real-time insurance eligibility and cost estimation.
  • Experience at a major consumer brand with both B2B and B2C lines.
  • Interest in applying behavioral psychology and data to drive growth.

Location / Work Style

  • Remote, but candidates must be based on Eastern Time (Talkspace HQ is in NYC).
