About the role

Join GitLab as a Senior Product Manager in the Tenant Scale area within Infrastructure Platforms. In this role, you will shape how GitLab supports large, complex customers as they grow across departments, projects, and regions. You will focus on making tenant data more portable, scalable, and ready for a unified deployment model. Your responsibilities will include defining requirements for our unified deployment platform, collaborating with engineering and product peers, engaging with internal and external customers, and translating complex technical concepts into product plans. Key missions: Drive product direction for tenant scale and unified deployment capabilities across GitLab.com, Dedicated, and future deployment models.. Define requirements for our unified deployment platform, including the capabilities needed before tenants can be hosted in a unified deployment unit.. Collaborate with product peers across the platforms organization, including teams working on GitLab.com and adjacent infrastructure areas. Profile: - Experience managing product work in technical domains such as infrastructure, scalability, platform architecture, software delivery, or cloud services - Ability to work effectively with deeply technical engineering teams and build credibility in discussions about system design, deployment models, and platform constraints - Knowledge of how SaaS or platform-based systems scale, including concepts such as multitenancy, horizontal scalability, autoscaling, workload isolation, and production readiness - Experience collaborating across product, engineering, user experience, and other cross-functional partners in a distributed environment - Comfort working with customers or internal stakeholders on complex requirements, including operational, compliance, or regional deployment needs - Openness to candidates who bring transferable experience from engineering, technical support, or adjacent product roles relevant to large-scale platforms - Strength in clear written and verbal communication, especially when explaining complex infrastructure topics to different audiences - Skill in turning ambiguous technical problems into clear product strategy, priorities, and actionable plans - Additionally, studies have shown that people from underrepresented groups are less likely to apply to a job unless they meet every single qualification.
