Senior Product Manager (FinCrime)

Role overview

Join Monzo as a Senior Product Manager (FinCrime) within the Fincrime Collective. You will build and deliver world-class, tech-led tools to empower investigators, improve decision quality, and maintain a seamless customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Optimize financial crime investigation workflows to reduce processing time while maintaining or improving decision accuracy.
• Drive automation and AI-led solutions, aiming for 100% automation in cases where human intervention is not required (with humans reserved for complex cases).
• Improve existing tools and build new solutions to reduce manual effort, increase efficiency, and streamline investigations.
• Lead a cross-functional squad and collaborate closely with the Ops Collective.
• Work with Ops to deliver improvements to forecasting and planning.
• Partner with ML engineers to develop data-driven product capabilities.

Requirements

• Proven experience in product management (ideally in fintech or scale-up environments), especially in complex, ambiguous problem spaces where technology changes rapidly.
• Data-driven mindset: use insights to make product decisions and measure outcomes.
• Ability to make trade-offs (e.g., speed vs. accuracy) while preserving customer experience quality.
• Strong understanding of automation, AI-driven tooling, and operational efficiency.
• Comfortable working on data-led, complex technical products.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, particularly operational teams.

• Experience delivering AI/automation solutions with operational impact in fincrime or related domains.
