Senior Product Manager (Financial Services)

Role Overview

Senior Product Manager for the Financial Services sector, owning products across trading operations, settlement, clearing, reconciliation, and treasury/cash management.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product domains: trading operations, settlement/clearing, and treasury & cash management.
• Define and specify settlement, clearing, and reconciliation workflows (including end-of-day reporting).
• Own products that move, allocate, reconcile, and report cash and positions across firm, client, and venue accounts.
• Define and write clear Business Requirements (BRD) and Product Requirements (PRD) that translate business goals into shippable specifications.
• Partner with engineering and design in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Track product metrics to assess adoption and inform next priorities.
• Onboard and integrate trading venues and counterparties.
• Work with stakeholders and produce process flows, user stories, and product documentation for cross-functional execution.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in product management or business analysis, ideally in fintech/startups/high-growth platforms.
• Ability to translate complex financial and/or regulatory requirements into clear product specs.
• Strong written and verbal communication; effective collaboration with engineers and business stakeholders.
• Comfort working with financial ledgers and account structures (e.g., chart of accounts, debit/credit logic, reconciliations).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and product tooling (e.g., Jira, Confluence, and product analytics platforms).
• Awareness of regulated environments and compliance needs (e.g., FINRA, SEC)—willingness to learn is key.
• Hands-on experience with post-trade, settlement, clearing, or treasury/cash-management products.
• Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle and money movement (settlement, clearing, reconciliation, cash allocations, end-of-day reporting).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in digital assets, blockchain, or cryptocurrency platforms.
• Familiarity with BAI/bank file formats and SFTP-based back-office exchange or end-of-day reconciliation.
• Experience onboarding exchange or liquidity-provider (venue) integrations.
• Exposure to SEC 15c3-3 reserve/PAB account concepts or other regulated cash-segregation requirements.
• Experience with API integrations and modern web application architectures.
• 0→1 / early-stage product building experience in fintech/challenger bank environments.
