Mercury is looking for a Senior Product Manager (Financial Crimes) to lead the evolution of its FinCrimes systems. You will define and build the infrastructure that supports Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Sanctions monitoring and reporting.
What you’ll do
- Define the vision and technical product roadmap for the FinCrimes team.
- Build flexible, high-precision monitoring platforms.
- Ensure AML/sanctions reporting requirements are seamless and efficient.
- Partner with engineering, risk strategy, data science, and risk operations to design:
- APIs, data platforms, rule engines, and model orchestration workflows
- Create feedback loops that connect decisions to outcomes for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with domain PMs (e.g., fraud, onboarding) to build reusable capabilities and reduce redundancy.
- Define and track platform strategy across extensibility, resilience, observability, and performance.
- Balance internal systems with external partners.
- Define and monitor platform health, adoption, and impact metrics.
What you bring
- 7+ years of product management experience, including time spent on platform/infrastructure products.
- Strong understanding of AML and Sanctions.
- Technical fluency to work deeply with engineering while communicating clearly with non-technical stakeholders.
- Product mindset combining customer empathy with systems thinking.
- Track record building internal tools/platforms that increase speed, consistency, or quality.
- Experience partnering with ML/DS teams to deploy and manage risk/scoring models.
- Ability to operate in ambiguity and build new foundations.
Nice to have
- Experience in risk, compliance, or financial services (plus, but not required).
