About the role

Role Overview

Senior Product Manager, Design Systems will define the product strategy and roadmap for a foundational design system and frontend platform. The role sits at the intersection of product, design, engineering, and AI, driving initiatives that improve developer efficiency and elevate design quality across the product ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the design system and frontend platform, aligned to business objectives.
  • Evolve reusable design components into scalable, composable building blocks with consistent APIs.
  • Lead accessibility, internationalization, and localization initiatives for inclusive experiences across global markets.
  • Partner with engineering, design, and AI teams to deliver platform capabilities that improve developer productivity and customer experience.
  • Drive adoption of design system enhancements via communication, change management, documentation, and continuous quality improvements.
  • Prioritize platform investments balancing long-term scalability with near-term business needs.
  • Shape frontend architecture direction by anticipating emerging technologies, UX trends, and AI-native product capabilities.

Requirements

  • 4–8+ years of product management experience owning a design system, frontend platform, developer platform, or similar internal product.
  • Strong understanding of design systems and implementation fundamentals (component libraries, design tokens, frontend architecture, scalable product development).
  • Proven ability to collaborate with engineering, design, and product leaders and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong product intuition and drive for polished, intuitive, high-quality user experiences.
  • Systems-thinking mindset for understanding how platform decisions affect multiple teams and products.
  • Ability to communicate technical investments in business terms to leadership and diverse stakeholders.
  • Hands-on approach to prototyping, experimentation, experimentation, and product discovery; interest in leveraging AI to enhance product development.
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, and strategic planning skills.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
