About the role

Role overview

As a Senior Product Owner (Costing and Rebates) on Ferguson’s Boundary Applications team, you own the strategy, vision, and roadmap for Costing and Rebates capabilities. This work impacts costing accuracy, margin improvements, rebate correctness, and enterprise financial outcomes.

The role sits at the intersection of business, finance, and technology, partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, and operational stakeholders to define and deliver solutions for complex costing models and rebate structures.

Responsibilities

  • Define the product vision and strategy for Costing and Rebates.
  • Determine stakeholder needs and specify research to obtain market information.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and market validation across customers/products to identify adjacencies and new opportunities.
  • Create and communicate a detailed product roadmap.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative research to support business value and roadmap prioritization.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to improve operational efficiency and drive business value.
  • Collaborate with Business, Finance, and Accounting to define, document, and prioritize requirements.
  • Communicate product changes clearly to business leaders, including how teams are affected and how work aligns to company goals.
  • Partner with Project Management to ensure delivery is on-time and properly scoped.
  • Coordinate alignment among delivery teams, internal customer groups, and leadership across the software development lifecycle.
  • Monitor and manage product health using analytics and stakeholder feedback; provide ongoing insights to leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–5 years experience (additional qualification text is cut off in the posting).
