About the role
Role overview
Chainguard is seeking a Senior Product Manager (Containers) to define and build the future of its Containers product. You’ll partner closely with developer customers and their security stakeholders, and work with engineering to deliver capabilities iteratively and frequently.
Responsibilities
- Own product strategy and roadmap, and ship great products that streamline how developers adopt and build with Chainguard Container Images.
- Lead projects from ideation through launch and beyond, improving the product while overseeing ongoing maintenance and support.
- Collect and act on qualitative and quantitative feedback, measuring impact and adjusting direction when needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Marketing, and UX (and others as needed).
- Represent the company externally via customer/prospect/partner meetings and engagement with industry analysts.
Requirements
- High technical depth: ability to quickly establish credibility with developers and speak their language (either prior developer experience or proven success in technical systems/networks/adjacent domains).
- Strong written and verbal communication with a demonstrated track record of engaging deeply with customers and delivering outcomes.
- Extreme ownership and urgency, with strong prioritization and resource marshalling to solve customer problems.
- Ability to adapt and operate in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Bonus criteria
- Experience with Linux software packaging and/or container image building.
- Experience with security/compliance frameworks and standards such as FedRAMP, STIGs, FIPS, etc.

- Remote, anywhere in the world (headquarters in the United States).
