Senior Product Manager

Role Overview

As a Senior Product Manager, you will own the roadmap for ButterflyMX’s Core Platform, which underpins the access experiences residents use and the management tools property teams rely on. You’ll shape the platform so it supports the company’s next stage of growth, partnering closely across teams and external ecosystem partners.

Responsibilities

• Own the core access platform roadmap and surface strategy.
• Build for multiple audiences (residents, property managers, and channel partners) across different segments.
• Expand and deepen the partnership ecosystem, including:
  • property management software integrations
  • access control hardware
  • smart home platforms
  • adjacent proptech surfaces
• Identify and deliver AI opportunities to improve access decisions, surface anomalies, and reduce operational load—while earning customer trust.
• Lead rigorous discovery with residents, on-site property staff, and channel partner teams to sharpen problem definitions.
• Collaborate with Design and Engineering to iterate on solutions.
• Define and own platform metrics, holding yourself accountable to measurable outcomes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of product management experience owning products from concept to market, including platforms, APIs, or integration-heavy offerings.
• Platform instincts: think in primitives, design for extensibility, understand tradeoffs between flexibility and opinionation.
• Partnership fluency: experience building/expanding ecosystems where third parties depend on you.
• B2B2C fluency: ability to serve both end users and buyers without compromising either.
• AI-native thinking: focus on how intelligent systems improve experiences (not AI as an add-on).
• Builder mindset: prototype and iterate quickly; close the loop between what you ask Engineering to build and what works in practice.
• Strong communication: influence across engineering, design, go-to-market, and leadership; write clearly and present effectively.
