Senior Product Manager

Role overview

Bonterra is hiring a Senior Product Manager to own product vision and outcomes for its impact data product and AI-powered case management capabilities. You will collaborate with platform and AI teams to understand how diverse nonprofit programs operate, then turn that insight into smarter systems, automated workflows, and integrations across Bonterra products.

Key missions

• Define and own the long-term product vision for Bonterra’s impact data product and AI case management capabilities based on real customer problems.
• Develop deep understanding of how customers (e.g., Apricot) structure and manage their programs, and extract actionable insights from a broad, diverse customer base.
• Work with Bonterra’s AI agent teams to define, prioritize, and ship case management agents that reduce manual work for direct service staff and program leaders.
• Drive integrations between the impact data product and other Bonterra products to enable seamless cross-product workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own product vision, outcomes, and prioritization for data and AI-enabled platform capabilities.
• Partner with engineering and AI/platform teams on architecture, tradeoffs, scalability, and delivery.
• Build human-AI workflows that earn and sustain user trust.
• Lead multi-quarter initiatives that improve adoption, retention, revenue, and/or operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Customer-problem obsessed: success measured by problems eliminated and outcomes delivered (not feature counts).
• Systems thinker: plan beyond screens to platforms, workflows, and ecosystems—how data created in one product creates value in another.
• Agentic product thinking: understand how AI agents work and where they create genuine value; design human-AI workflows that build trust over time.
• Technically fluent: can deeply engage with engineers and AI/platform teams on architecture, tradeoffs, and long-term scalability (even without writing production code).
• Signal extraction from complex, diverse organizational patterns to drive better defaults, automation, and cleaner product design.
• Mission-driven but pragmatic: change the world through focus, discipline, and strong execution.

Nice to have

• Experience in health and human services, nonprofit technology, CSR, ESG, or adjacent enterprise domains.

Experience

• 5+ years of product management experience in PE-backed SaaS, owning complex, data-oriented or platform-oriented products.
• Experience working with AI/platform engineering teams and reporting/analytics/data products—ideally for diverse customer segments with varying needs.
