About the role

Role: Senior Product Manager (AI Builder)

You will own a complex set of features or an end-to-end customer journey within one of Babylist’s consumer product surfaces. The focus is on delivering outcomes by running the full product loop—from discovery to delivery—while collaborating closely with Engineering, Design, Data, and key stakeholders.

Key missions

  • Possess and drive ownership of a meaningful slice of a consumer product end-to-end.
  • Build functional prototypes, inspect data and the codebase, and contribute directly to implementation when it adds the most value.
  • Help Babylist transition toward AI-native product development by modeling what an AI-native PM does day-to-day.

Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery and execution for a complex customer area/product surface.
  • Define product strategy, measures of success, and evidence-based decision-making (persist/pivot/stop).
  • Turn ambiguity into clear problem framing, tighter scope, and faster engineering/design execution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with senior leaders to solve complex consumer-product problems.
  • Bring qualitative and quantitative evidence into product decisions (customer obsession).

Requirements

  • Senior Product Manager with end-to-end ownership of a consumer product area (often Senior/Staff-level experience).
  • Demonstrated consumer experience and ability to define strategy for complex areas.
  • Outcome ownership mindset: build success metrics and iterate after launch using evidence.
  • Commercial fluency: understand how Babylist makes money and which levers matter.
  • Strong decision-making with incomplete information; know which decisions are reversible vs. irreversible.
  • Sharp problem framing: walk in with recommendations, reduce ambiguity, and tighten scope.
  • Technical fluency (e.g., CS background, prior development experience, early-stage builder mindset, or strong portfolio of built products).
  • Customer obsession with the ability to co-create and ground decisions in evidence.
  • Product sense and taste: know what’s worth building, and can point to shipped work and projects that were stopped.
  • Act as a “force multiplier” (connective tissue, crisp communication, not a bottleneck).
  • Adaptability to change and bias toward action across team boundaries.
  • AI-native: actively uses LLMs/AI in the work (the posting cuts off, but the requirement is explicit).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience blending product management with hands-on building in environments where “product vs. build” is blurry.
  • A portfolio demonstrating feasibility, tradeoffs, and getting real things shipped.
