About the role
Role Overview
Senior Product Manager (Activation) at JustPlay. You will drive user activation by improving onboarding, feature adoption, and early retention in a mobile gaming loyalty app.
Responsibilities
- Own and optimize the onboarding and activation funnel from user acquisition to first game engagement
- Conduct user research and perform data analysis to find friction points and improve the user journey
- Design and improve the First-Time User Experience (FTUE) so users reach core value quickly
- Collaborate with UA, Growth, Design, and Engineering to align messaging with in-app experience
- Run A/B tests and experiments on onboarding flows to optimize activation and conversion
- Monitor early retention metrics (D1, D3, D7) and improve first-session experience and push notifications
- Track activation KPIs and measure impact of improvements
- Build personalized onboarding flows based on user behavior, demographics, and UA source
Requirements
- 4+ years of product management experience, focused on user activation in mobile apps (ideally mobile gaming, entertainment, or similar)
- Hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams to launch features and campaigns
- Strong product analytics skills; experience using data to drive decisions and optimize UX
- Proven ability to identify user pain points and deliver solutions that improve activation and retention
- Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to execute complex initiatives with attention to detail
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with personalized onboarding and experimentation culture (A/B testing, funnel optimization) in mobile gaming/loyalty contexts
