Senior Product Engineer

Role Overview

As a Senior Product Engineer, you will build distributed infrastructure and product experiences for an AI-native, Git-compatible collaboration platform. This is a product-minded engineering role spanning the entire stack, with significant ownership and close customer collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own meaningful portions of the product across the entire stack (infrastructure, backend systems, frontend experiences, developer tooling, and documentation)
• Define and drive projects independently end-to-end
• Work closely with customers to understand needs and prioritize improvements
• Communicate progress clearly and proactively identify opportunities to improve both the product and the engineering organization
• Build novel systems that address difficult engineering challenges in distributed systems and AI-assisted development

Requirements

• Strong technical depth with well-developed opinions on:
  • Version control
  • AI-assisted development
  • Distributed systems
  • Modern software architecture
• Product instincts and customer-focused execution (deliver exceptional user experiences)
• Craftsmanship: write high-quality, maintainable software
• Ownership mindset: lead projects end-to-end with high autonomy
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience building developer-facing products from scratch, such as:
  • Dev tools, infrastructure platforms, databases, build systems
  • Cloud/AI infrastructure, programming languages

Tech Stack

• TypeScript, Rust, Bazel, Pulumi

Compensation & Benefits

• $200K–$400K USD + equity and benefits (medical/dental/vision, wellness stipend, commuter support, catered meals in office).
