Senior Product Engineer [Backend]

Role overview

Join Attio as a Senior Product Engineer (Backend), helping reinvent how people work with a first-of-its-kind AI-native CRM. You’ll focus on backend systems and APIs that deliver high performance, reliability, security, and scale.

Responsibilities

• Use expertise in TypeScript/Node.js/GCP to drive product and company forward
• Lead projects end-to-end to solve real customer problems
• Architect and re-architect backend systems to meet scaling demands and quality standards
• Design REST API contracts for internal and external consumers
• Represent Attio’s Product & Engineering values internally and externally

Requirements

• Experience designing scalable, reliable, secure backend systems
• Strong knowledge of modern Cloud Native architecture
• Expertise in Node.js and TypeScript
• Track record of ownership and product delivery
• Proactive problem solving for distributed systems
• Ability to communicate technical ideas and influence stakeholders across Engineering, Product, and Design

Nice to have

• Experience contributing to or participating in open source projects
• Experience mentoring team members
• Interest/experience with data-rich backend applications or large-scale real-time data processing
• Curiosity for experimenting with new ideas, tools, and technologies
