About the role

Role overview

As a Senior Product Designer at Zilch, you’ll be accountable for the end-to-end design of features—from initial sketching through design execution and collaboration toward implementation. You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and fellow designers to deliver high-quality, user-centered experiences.

Responsibilities

Own the full design process: collaborative research, conception, testing, full journey specs, developer collaboration, and UX measurement post-launch.
Coach and mentor designers; lead critique sessions to maintain a strong, holistic design bar.
Create and iterate customer journeys, prototypes, and run user testing.
Improve and maintain a scalable design system aligned to product and business goals.
Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research to understand user experience.
Define and track success metrics across customer and business perspectives.
Align on goals and priorities with the Head of Product Design and Product Managers; incorporate feedback.
Document pattern libraries and style guides, keeping them up to date.
Review release performance, capture learnings, and propose improvements for future product direction.
Experiment with new ways of working and AI tools to optimize the design process.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience designing consumer-facing products in cross-functional teams.
Ability to handle complex product challenges and ensure you solve the right problem.
Strong visual/UI craft (detail-oriented; “one pixel off is a big deal”).
Strategic communication of design decisions with clarity and confidence.
Experience partnering across disciplines including user research, content, and engineering.
Strong storytelling to bring stakeholders along.
Experience using and helping maintain a design system.
Proven ability to advocate for users and apply research learnings to design.
Ability to analyze product experiments.
