About the role
Role: Senior Product Designer (Contract)
You’ll work with clients and cross-functional teams to design intuitive, engaging, and effective digital products across a range of industries (e-commerce, connected hardware, and AI-enabled interfaces).
Responsibilities
- Lead the design process from discovery through implementation.
- Partner with clients to understand business goals and user needs.
- Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs while maintaining UX quality and visual consistency.
- Participate in design critiques and provide constructive feedback; ensure alignment with design systems.
- Manage design workstreams, collaborate with developers, and deliver against project milestones.
- Present design solutions to clients, iterate based on feedback, and maintain design integrity.
Requirements
- Expertise in user experience, interface design, and product strategy.
- Ability to collaborate directly with clients and work with cross-functional teams.
- Experience leading complex product design projects from discovery through implementation.
Nice-to-haves
- Background or interests in design, art, music, food, or fashion (for a well-rounded sense of design & quality).
- Experience across products in multiple industries and/or hands-on work that supports alternative, flexible ways of working.
Compensation & Engagement
- $85–$150/hr depending on client and seniority.
- Projects typically run 6+ full-time weeks, with an emphasis on longer-term, accountable engagements.
