Senior Product Designer

Role overview

Senior Product Designer to help shape and ship end-to-end product experiences for an AI-powered CRE capital markets platform. You’ll work closely with engineers, designers, and founders in a small, senior team—designing, prototyping, building internal versions, QAing, and iterating without hand-offs.

Key focus areas

• Own projects end to end with engineering: problem definition → design → build → QA → iteration.
• Design systems, not just screens: component reuse, architecture, and how features compose into a coherent product.
• Synthesize feedback from internal debt advisors to set priorities and validate shipped work.
• Shape AI experiences for users, including lender matching, deal analysis, and outbound intelligence.

Minimum qualifications

• 5+ years of Product Design experience.
• 5+ years collaborating cross-functionally with software engineers.
• Strong ability to take features from problem statement to shipped product.
• Deep experience designing and maintaining design systems/tools/libraries.
• Experience creating complex prototypes using Figma, Framer, Claude, code, or similar tools.
• Effective written communication (role is ~90% async).

Preferred qualifications

• Early-stage startup experience owning outcomes.
• Experience in fintech/proptech/platforms with complex data and workflows.
• Experience building with AI for prototypes/recommendations/matching/generation.
• Comfort with ambiguity and structuring problems without over-engineering.

Contract & compensation

• Independent contractor (fixed contract rate).
• Annualized pay range: $150,000–$225,000 (US-wide), based on experience and skill level.
