Role overview

As a Senior Product Designer at webAI, you will shape product direction, set and evolve design standards, and lead design impact across major product initiatives. You’ll work from early-stage concept through final implementation, partnering with engineers, designers, researchers, and product to ship polished experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead design direction across major initiatives (from early problem framing to shipping)
• Act as a design lead across the full product development cycle
• Establish and evolve design patterns and principles to raise team quality
• Prototype, validate with users, and ship production-ready work
• Use AI-assisted tools to support design creation and delivery
• Drive through critique: provide precise feedback and sharpen team thinking
• Influence beyond your immediate scope by collaborating with engineering, product, and research

Requirements

• 7+ years of UX/Product design experience with a strong, up-to-date portfolio
• Strong UX judgment across flows, states, edge cases, and systems thinking
• Excellent ability to influence product direction beyond direct design work
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills (from engineers to executives)
• Strong craft: typography, spacing, hierarchy, motion, and interaction
• Ability to lead complex cross-functional work from concept to launch with minimal oversight
• Proficiency in Figma
• Comfortable using AI-assisted tools (or eager to learn)

Nice-to-haves

• Experience mentoring designers and improving team craft standards
• Expertise in prototyping, motion, or data visualization
• Experience designing developer-facing or data-rich/technical products
• Familiarity with emerging technologies such as AI/ML, LLMs, and conversational UI
