Senior Product Designer, UX Foundations

About the role

Join Jobber as a Senior Product Designer in the Foundations team, where you'll shape and evolve UI components and UX patterns in our design system. You'll lead projects that improve design consistency and quality, collaborate with engineering, and advocate for UX excellence across the company. Key missions: Lead design system projects to create and refine components, interaction patterns, and design tokens that scale across web and mobile platforms.. Collaborate with designers and product teams to support adoption, share best practices, and incorporate feedback.. Advocate for UX quality across the company to improve visual design, interaction design, accessibility, usability, and performance. Profile: - 2–5 years experience designing and evolving design systems, including work on components, patterns, tokens, and documentation - Proven ability to work cross-functionally and build alignment with designers, engineers, and product partners - A track record of leading projects or initiatives that improved design consistency and quality across a product - Deep expertise in interaction design, UI patterns, and visual design - Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, and frameworks like React) - Strong proficiency in today’s evolving AI design landscape, including prototyping, shared libraries, and design documentation - A portfolio demonstrating your design craft, systems thinking, and measurable impact on product quality or team efficiency - Strong judgment in making tradeoffs that scale across teams and use cases, balancing flexibility with standardization - Strong understanding of accessibility standards for the web and/or mobile and how to embed them into systems - Experience with modern design tools like Figma (components, tokens, auto-layout, prototyping) - Comfort collaborating closely with engineers and understanding how design translates to code - Experience influencing strategy, aligning stakeholders, and driving adoption at scale - Experience designing complex software-as-a-service (SaaS) tools for business (B2B), especially for small-business customers (SMB) - Experience scaling a design system in a fast-growing, multi-product environment - Passion for blending roles, extending design into code and vice-versa - Coding skills including experience with Typescript — ability to implement tokens and improve component quality, hands-on
