Senior Product Designer

Role Overview

Tremendous is hiring a Senior Product Designer to own design for one of its product areas. You’ll work in a small squad embedded with a product manager and several engineers, alongside a team of product designers led by the Director of Product Design. With one designer per squad, you have direct end-to-end ownership of the experiences you ship.

What You’ll Do

• Craft rational, elegant, and intuitive interfaces
• Own product copy within your designs
• Provide strategic influence across vision, planning, and the roadmap
• Contribute to the design system and help improve it continuously (consistency is key for a financial platform)
• Document heavily to support an async workflow (Notion docs and Figma files should stand alone)
• Use AI throughout your workflow, including AI prototyping and bringing working artifacts to the team
• Conduct research, prototyping, and iteration
• Maintain a high design bar and raise the bar on execution
• Design with accessibility and internationalization in mind
• Collaborate closely with PMs, engineers, and others

What You’ll Bring

• 8+ years of product design experience
• Experience at a startup or fast-moving product organization
• A portfolio showing functional, simple, and delightful UI
• Proven experience building and improving design systems
• Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
• Hands-on experience using AI tools for design workflow/prototyping (e.g., v0, Claude, Cursor)
• Comfort handling ambiguity and independently driving decisions
• Ability to conduct research and usability testing

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $200,000 – $265,000 (competitive pay and equity)
