Senior Product Designer

Role: Senior Product Designer

Teleport is hiring a Senior Product Designer to help shape a highly visible product and design system. The role is remote-first and involves close collaboration with engineering and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Communicate design ideas using storyboards, diagrams, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes.
• Collaborate with engineers to identify requirements and limitations across planning, design, and implementation.
• Address data scalability needs through clear, elegant UI design.
• Test and validate features and designs using user research, including moderated usability testing.
• Work with fellow designers on a shared company-wide design system (add components and documentation).
• Advocate for design best practices and contribute to Teleport’s design culture.
• Participate in product and design strategy decision-making and help build product/company brand.
• Identify pain points and create designs to improve or fix them.
• Lead collaborative workshops to drive problem solving and creative thinking.

Requirements

• Strong design background with an online portfolio.
• Proficiency in information architecture, UX, and interaction design best practices.
• Experience with user research, especially moderated usability testing.
• Mastery of responsive design across many viewport sizes.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to bring clarity in ambiguous situations.
• Experience leading design reviews and workshops.
• Ability to design for technically complex workflows, partnering closely with engineers.
• Experience designing interfaces that organize and scale with large amounts of data.
• Fluency in Figma and other design/prototyping tools.
