About the role
Role Overview
As a Senior Product Designer at Symbiotic, you will lead product design end-to-end for the company’s onchain finance stack. You’ll make complex protocol behavior understandable through clean user flows, helping users understand risk, exposure, and returns.
Responsibilities
- Lead the product design function in close collaboration with Leadership, Engineering, Product, and Marketing
- Design full user journeys for the Symbiotic product stack, turning onchain complexity into clear, usable flows
- Surface risk, exposure, and returns so users understand commitments and outcomes when conditions change
- Run user research: interview users, observe real behavior, and translate findings into actionable feature scopes
- Partner with Engineering to define problems, evaluate tradeoffs, and design within real protocol constraints
Requirements
- Deep on-chain fluency (wallets, approvals, signing, gas, transaction lifecycle, chain latency) and how these constraints shape design
- DeFi product shipping experience with evidence of delivery to real users
- Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product work with systems-level thinking and high attention to detail
- Track record of autonomous operation in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
- Able to work without scaffolding (no existing design team/system; you own the work)
- Comfort owning research (not waiting for it to be provided)
- Strong cross-functional communication with the ability to work under scrutiny, especially with Engineering
- Expertise in Figma and modern prototyping workflows
Nice to Have
- None explicitly stated.
About Symbiotic
Symbiotic builds infrastructure that underpins collateral markets, helping onchain capital secure financial obligations and enforce them via code. By changing the economics of onchain collateral, it enables new neofinance applications such as credit, insurance, and RWA liquidity, positioning itself as a coordination layer for capital and risk across the onchain economy.
