About the role

Role overview

Senior Product Designer – Restaurant Platform Own and design core product experiences that connect restaurants, partners, and internal teams to OpenTable—supporting onboarding, reporting, security, and partner/API tooling.

Responsibilities

Design end-to-end experiences spanning onboarding, reporting, security, APIs, and partner tools used by restaurants, partners, and internal teams.
Collaborate with product designers, product managers, and engineers to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
Balance customer needs with business goals through strong product concepts.
Become an expert in restaurants’ needs by planning and facilitating research with restaurant owners and staff.
Translate research findings into actionable design direction.
Lead end-to-end user research (planning, facilitation, synthesis) to address user pain points.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of professional product design experience.
Strong portfolio demonstrating breadth of product design work and complex problem-solving.
Experience designing B2B experiences and/or complex workflows.
Experience leading and facilitating cross-functional workshops.
Strong visual and interaction design skills.
Ability to negotiate, prioritize, and break down design work into measurable outcomes.
Strong communication (written and verbal) and ability to clearly articulate design decisions.
Experience working with remote teams.
Expertise in Figma and other prototyping tools.

Nice to have

Prior experience designing onboarding.
Experience incorporating AI into workflows to improve design process and outcomes.

New York, NY (United States-based role)

Compensation & benefits (highlights)

Salary range: $180,000–$200,000 (annual)
Work-from-(almost)-anywhere up to 20 days/year
