Join Relay, a fast-growing fintech company, as a Senior Product Designer. In this role, you will design the future of SMB banking and contribute to the growth of the design function at Relay. You will work closely with product managers and engineers, own design initiatives from discovery to production, and raise the craft bar by creating elegant and intuitive interfaces. You will also communicate design rationale through storytelling and artifacts, mentor peers, and contribute to a culture of detail-obsession and continuous improvement. Your work shows strong visual sensibility (typography, hierarchy, layout) paired with thoughtful UX design (flows, IA, cross-platform) - Know how to own the design process end-to-end, from research and framing through to prototyping and iteration resulting in polished, production-ready design - Believe that great design comes from rigour, not shortcuts: you see research, analysis, and iteration as essential parts of creating high-quality work - Have experimented with AI tools for prototyping or user-facing experiences - Have 5+ years of experience in product design, with a track record of shipping impactful work - Communicate your design decisions clearly — turning rationale into stories that align teammates and spark conviction - Use both generative and evaluative research to frame problems and validate solutions, collaborating with product and data teams to ground designs in real insights - Bring a user-centered mindset, making decisions rooted in customer needs while balancing business goals - Are comfortable with complex systems and can simplify them into experiences that feel intuitive and trustworthy - Adapt your tools and methods to fit the stage of the project, and you share best practices with peers while experimenting with new approaches that advance the team’s capabilities - Have experience designing SaaS based products - Advocate for design principles and can clearly explain your rationale, ensuring cohesion and consistency across the product experience - Have worked in fintech, SaaS, or other complex system domains - Bring experience designing platform-wide features like permissions, notifications, or multi-tenant systems - Have familiarity with front-end development, motion design, or illustration - Have mentored or coached peers, helping to raise the design craft of those around you
