About the role

Role Overview

Senior Product Designer for a partner company building next-generation financial infrastructure products. You will lead product design initiatives to simplify complex systems and craft intuitive user experiences, working closely with engineering, product, leadership, and marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the product design function in partnership with leadership, engineering, product, and marketing
  • Design end-to-end user journeys across the product ecosystem, turning complex technical concepts into clear, efficient experiences
  • Create user experiences that help users understand risk, exposure, returns, commitments, and changing conditions
  • Conduct user research (interviews, behavioral analysis, usability insights) and translate findings into actionable requirements
  • Collaborate with engineering to define problems, evaluate tradeoffs, and deliver solutions within constraints
  • Develop design strategies balancing usability, functionality, business goals, and technical feasibility
  • Produce detailed designs, prototypes, and workflows to support product development
  • Advocate for user needs throughout the product lifecycle and drive continuous improvement
  • Establish and scale design practices/processes within a growing organization

Requirements

  • Proven product design experience with a strong end-to-end portfolio
  • Deep understanding of blockchain and decentralized finance concepts (wallets, approvals, signing, gas, transaction lifecycles, chain latency, and related user constraints)
  • Experience designing and shipping DeFi/blockchain products used by real customers
  • Strong systems-level thinking plus exceptional visual and interaction design attention to detail
  • Experience running independent user research and applying insights to product improvements
  • Ability to work autonomously in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with minimal oversight
  • Ability to build design processes/frameworks without relying on existing teams or systems
  • Strong collaboration and communication with engineering; ability to navigate technical discussions and challenge assumptions
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping workflows
  • Strong UX principles, interaction design, and product strategy knowledge

  • Experience influencing product direction and operating in a “from the ground up” environment
