Senior Product Designer - Institutional Custody

Role Overview

Ava Labs is hiring a Senior Product Designer to lead end-to-end experience design for Fortary, an institutional digital asset custody platform. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, and Design to create intuitive, secure, and scalable custody experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead product design for Fortary (institutional-grade digital asset custody)
• Partner cross-functionally with Product and Engineering to craft user-centric experiences
• Conduct user research, synthesize insights into problem definitions, and generate innovative solutions
• Design and deliver system components, rapid prototypes, and polished UI/UX flows
• Own end-to-end user journeys from concept to launch, ensuring simplicity, clarity, and elegance
• Drive ideation and explore new design directions with cross-functional partners
• Participate in design critiques and provide constructive feedback to elevate team standards
• Plan and coordinate product testing programs for internal and external stakeholders
• Build scalable design systems with front-end developers in mind

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional product design experience
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with rapid iteration
• Strong UX/UI best practices for iOS, Android, and Web
• Pixel-perfect visual design with high attention to detail
• Proficiency in Figma, including component systems and prototyping
• Strong communication skills and ability to clearly articulate design decisions
• Experience building and contributing to scalable design systems
• Collaborative, low-ego approach with a growth-oriented mindset
• Portfolio demonstrating strong design process and polished end-to-end product work

Nice to Haves

• Working knowledge of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies (hands-on on-chain experience is a plus)
• Experience designing B2B or B2B2C applications
• Familiarity with front-end development
