Senior Product Designer

Role Overview

Join Fieldguide as a Senior Product Designer on the Audit product team. You’ll own complex, ambiguous problem spaces end-to-end, partner with Product and Engineering, and shape the design direction of a core product—balancing speed with craft and integrating AI into your design practice.

Key Missions

• Lead end-to-end design for complex, ambiguous audit workflows—from problem definition through shipped solutions.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to shape strategy, influence roadmaps, and deliver high-quality, scalable implementations.
• Advocate for users while accounting for technical, regulatory, and business constraints; own a significant product area or customer journey.

Responsibilities / Expectations

• Be a trusted design voice that elevates the team through mentorship, feedback, and critique.
• Think in systems and anticipate downstream impacts across workflows, personas, and adjacent product areas.
• Set a high bar for usability, polish, and consistency in shipped work.
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, driving at high velocity without sacrificing judgment or craft.
• Design AI-assisted workflows (e.g., review, summarization, guidance) and incorporate AI throughout the design process (research/synthesis to prototyping and iteration).
• Influence and modernize audit workflows and the design system.

Requirements

• Experience owning complex, ambiguous problem spaces end-to-end with minimal direction.
• Experience working on AI-assisted workflows and/or designing them.
• Background designing for workflow-heavy, document-centric, B2B SaaS products.
• Experience designing for regulated domains such as audit, accounting, or compliance.
• Experience designing for role-based permissions, reviews, and multi-stakeholder collaboration.
• Experience partnering on zero-to-one or major product re-architecture efforts.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
