About the role
Role Overview
Senior Product Designer for Commerce shaping user experiences that drive revenue for appointment-based, self-care businesses. You’ll translate complex operational and financial requirements into clear, intuitive, reliable flows across commerce domains (payments, memberships, packages, reporting), partnering closely with Product and Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Design intuitive, reliable, scalable commerce experiences (payments, memberships, gift cards, packages, reporting)
- Translate complex operational/financial requirements into actionable UX/UI that prioritizes clarity, trust, and usability
- Use AI-assisted design tools to explore edge cases, prototype flows, and pressure-test interactions
- Validate ideas via lightweight research: customer interviews and usability testing
- Contribute to the design system by creating components and patterns for commerce complexity
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (Product, Engineering, stakeholders) to ensure alignment and successful implementation
- Maintain high standards of visual craft, interaction design, and systems thinking
Requirements
- Proven experience designing complex, systems-heavy products (ideally B2B, fintech, or commerce)
- Track record owning projects from problem definition through launch with measurable impact
- Proficiency with AI-assisted design tools (e.g., Claude or ChatGPT) for research/prototyping/iteration
- Strong product thinking, interaction design, and visual/functional craft (portfolio required)
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working directly with engineers and product managers
- Ability to perform in ambiguous, fast-paced environments while delivering high-quality outcomes
- Collaborative, feedback-oriented, user-centered mindset focused on clarity
