Senior Product Designer

Role Overview

Join Clio as a Senior Product Designer. You’ll lead the design process end-to-end for complex, evolving product problem spaces, collaborating with Product and Engineering while advocating for customer needs and business-impact outcomes.

Key Missions

• Lead end-to-end design for complex and evolving problem spaces—from strategic discovery through development and launch.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering) to define and execute experience design strategy and success metrics.
• Raise the quality bar by creating polished, accessible, cohesive experiences and pushing toward best-in-class interaction design (beyond “good enough”).

Requirements

• Strong capability in design and prototyping tools.
• Solid use of AI tools in your design process (e.g., Gemini, Figma, Cursor, Claude, etc.); not required to be an expert, but you should be eager to learn and experiment.
• 6+ years designing digital products; B2B SaaS experience preferred.
• Proven track record shipping high-quality work that solves customer problems and improves key product metrics, including iterating post-MVP.
• Growth mindset, especially around process improvement and AI.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with clear rationale and trade-offs.
• Collaborative, low-ego working style—facilitates alignment, clarifies trade-offs, and drives confident execution.
• Portfolio demonstrating scalable experience design across multiple customer segments (e.g., Solo, SMB, Mid-Market) and/or cross-product workflow experiences.
• Strong craft in interaction design, information architecture, and usability.
• Customer-centric approach: translate insights into actionable design direction.
• Experience designing AI-powered features/workflows, with understanding of user-centered applications of ML and generative AI.
• High-quality visual/UI craft (typography, hierarchy, spacing, interaction details).
• Experience in legal tech or a similarly technical industry, with ability to simplify complex cross-product workflows.
• Education in classic graphic design fundamentals (e.g., typography systems, layout discipline).
