Senior Product Designer

Role Overview

Tava Health is hiring a Senior Product Designer to lead design for the patient-facing product experiences. You’ll shape how individuals access therapy through patient conversion, scheduling, payments, and in-session telehealth.

Responsibilities

• User-centered design across the patient journey:
  • Onboarding, provider matching, appointment booking, billing, and telehealth session experiences
  • Remove friction to improve patient engagement
  • Handle multiple payment and coverage scenarios in a unified experience
  • Generate multiple problem-led solution approaches
• Design systems & craft:
  • Build and maintain scalable design systems for consistency and quality
  • Balance speed and high-quality user experience
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to validate decisions
  • Partner with engineering to ensure high-fidelity implementation
• Innovation & AI integration:
  • Use AI tools to accelerate design iteration and exploration
  • Identify AI opportunities for patient matching, personalization, and overall experience
• Cross-functional leadership:
  • Own design outcomes while balancing user needs and business goals
  • Communicate clearly in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
  • Present rationale to leadership with strategic alignment
  • Collaborate across disciplines and guide toward ideal design direction

Requirements

• Startup mindset: self-directed, adaptable, comfortable solving in ambiguity
• 5+ years product design experience with a portfolio focused on consumer digital products
• Strong understanding of conversion funnels, payment experiences, and user psychology
• Proven ability to ship polished designs in resource-constrained, high-velocity environments
• Proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma and FullStory; willing to use AI-assisted workflows
• Strong communicator working effectively with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders
