Senior Product Designer

Role Overview

Senior Product Designer to lead design for patient-facing product experiences at Tava Health. You’ll shape how people access therapy, focusing on patient conversion flows, scheduling, payments, and telehealth sessions.

Responsibilities

• User-centered design across the full patient journey: onboarding, provider matching, appointment booking, billing, and in-session telehealth.
• Remove friction to increase patient engagement with mental health services.
• Design for multiple payment and coverage scenarios in a unified experience.
• Create multiple problem-led solution options for new requests.
• Build and maintain scalable design systems with consistent, high-quality UI/UX.
• Balance speed with craft; ship polished work quickly.
• Run user research and usability testing to validate decisions.
• Partner closely with engineering to ensure high-fidelity implementation.
• Innovation & AI integration: incorporate AI tools to iterate faster and improve matching/personalization.
• Cross-functional leadership: own design outcomes, align user needs with business goals, communicate clearly in ambiguity, and present rationale to leadership.

Requirements

• Startup mindset: self-directed, adaptable, comfortable in ambiguity.
• 5+ years of product design experience with a portfolio for consumer digital products.
• Strong understanding of conversion funnels, payment experiences, and user psychology.
• Proven ability to ship polished designs in resource-constrained, high-velocity environments.
• Proficiency with Figma and modern product analytics tools (e.g., FullStory), plus willingness to use AI-assisted design workflows.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
