Senior Product Designer

Role Overview

Join Alchemy as a Senior Product Designer to shape an AI-native product. You’ll work at the intersection of product design, product thinking, and front-end engineering, helping validate UX directions quickly and scaling the UI/design system over time.

Responsibilities

• Conceive and build high-quality prototypes to validate UX direction rapidly.
• Own and evolve Alchemy’s design system, including building/maintaining reusable components.
• Collaborate closely with product designers and engineers to improve craft and feasibility of design work.
• Build production-quality interactive prototypes and help scale UI system components as needed.

Requirements

• Operate effectively in ambiguity; move fast with high ownership.
• Prototype quickly without sacrificing craft, selecting the right level of fidelity for the question.
• Communicate clearly across disciplines; translate design intent to technical constraints.
• Systems-minded builder with experience shipping/maintaining component libraries/design systems (tokens, components, documentation, adoption).
• Strong front-end fundamentals and comfort building interactive UI (e.g., React + TypeScript or equivalent).
• Strong design craft: hierarchy, spacing, typography, interaction details, visual polish.

Nice-to-haves / Bonuses

• Accessibility fluency.
• Storybook (or similar).
• Motion/animation experience.
• Experience scaling design systems across multiple product surfaces.
