About the role

Join Affirm, a leading financial technology company, as a Senior Product Designer. In this role, you will shape end-to-end experiences, deliver high-quality outcomes, and evolve how people interact with their money. You will lead design initiatives, own complex flows, and partner closely with product, engineering, and data teams. You will also contribute to design systems, facilitate alignment, and support and mentor other designers. Key missions: Lead end-to-end design for key initiatives within a product area, driving meaningful customer and business outcomes.. Own complex flows and ambiguous problem spaces, defining clear problem statements, success metrics, and design direction.. Use research, data, and experimentation to inform decisions and continuously improve outcomes, contributing to design systems and patterns. Profile: - Tools & Experience: Proficiency with modern design and collaboration tools (Figma, G Suite, Notion, etc.) - Cross-functional Collaboration: You build strong partnerships, communicate clearly, and help teams align on decisions and trade-offs - Strong Craft & Execution: You consistently deliver polished, thoughtful interaction and visual design with high attention to detail - Product Thinking: You balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints to make sound design decisions and improve end-to-end experiences - Growth & Agility: You seek feedback, continuously improve your craft, and leverage modern tools—including AI—to accelerate your workflow - Team-Level Influence: You’re a trusted design partner within your area, contributing to direction and improving how the team works - Ownership & Initiative: You take ownership of ambiguous problems and drive work forward with minimal oversight - Data-Informed Decision Making: You use research, experimentation, and analytics to guide your work and iterate toward better outcomes - 5+ years of product design experience or equivalent practical experience
