About the role

Role overview

MoonPay is hiring a Senior Product Data Scientist to shape product strategy data for the customer onboarding journey. You’ll work within the Data Science team, partnering with Product and Engineering to drive business impact through analytics, experimentation, and stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

Analyze MoonPay’s onboarding and customer flows to generate insights, recommendations, and product improvement opportunities (including enhanced customer safety).
Partner with product teams and business stakeholders to review product performance and develop data-driven strategies.
Define KPIs, design tracking, and set up monitoring for new launches and product changes.
Own analytics across the product lifecycle: define problems and success metrics → launch, measure, and optimize at scale.
Provide trusted insights and narratives to help teams make better, faster decisions, including scalable data products.

Requirements

Deep experience applying data science to product analytics and strategy.
Ability to combine experimentation/analysis with clear communication to influence stakeholders.
Strong ownership of KPIs, tracking, and measurement for product changes.

Nice to have

Experience with fintech/crypto domains, especially onboarding, compliance, identity checks, and fraud prevention.

Work model & location

Remote (hybrid encouraged if near a Moonbase).
Supported locations: UK, Spain, Portugal (relocation case-by-case).
