About the role
Role Overview
Senior Product Data Analyst to support MoneyGram’s growing data and analytics initiatives across Finance, Product, and Retail. This is a full-time remote role for candidates based in the US or Canada, focused on delivering rapid, data-driven insights that influence product strategy.
Responsibilities
- Analytics & Reporting: Analyze partner, customer, and enterprise data to extract actionable insights and identify trends.
- Data Visualization: Build key visual representations for areas such as finance, sales, and product performance.
- Stakeholder Communication: Present findings clearly, translating data into strategic recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across Data, Analytics, Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and international/regional groups.
- Technology & Automation: Advocate for best-in-class analytics tools and processes; work with engineering/data teams to implement and leverage analytics platforms (BI tools, tag management, and automation via APIs).
- Experimentation & Optimization: Measure rollout success by organizing data into cohorts and evaluating metrics based on cohort performance.
Requirements
- Strong, hands-on data analysis skills.
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
- Strong experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools; Looker preferred.
- Data-driven mindset and ability to communicate insights in a consumable way for decision-making.
- Excellent communication and influence skills, including distilling complex data into clear narratives.
Nice-to-Haves
- Familiarity with analytics programming, e.g., Python (or other languages).
- Interest in emerging trends and continuous improvement of product analytics methodologies.
