Role overview

Senior Product Data Analyst (full-time, remote) You will support MoneyGram’s data and analytics initiatives across Finance, Product, and Retail, delivering rapid, data-driven insights that inform key business decisions.

MoneyGram is undergoing a re-founding/transformation and is looking for an analyst who can help reinvent analytics and ways of working while supporting the company’s mission.

Responsibilities

  • Insights & Reporting:
    • Analyze partner, customer, and enterprise data to uncover actionable insights and trends.
    • Create visualizations and reporting for areas such as finance, sales, and product performance.
    • Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating data into strategic recommendations.
  • Cross-functional collaboration:
    • Partner with teams across Data/Analytics, Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Regional/International groups to drive insights to business goals.
  • Technology & automation:
    • Advocate for best-in-class analytics tools and processes.
    • Collaborate with Engineering, Data Engineering, and Analytics to implement and leverage analytics platforms (e.g., BI tools, tag management, and API-based automation) to improve company insights.
    • Stay current on emerging product analytics technologies and continuously improve methodologies.
  • Experimentation & optimization:
    • Enable measurement of feature/functionality rollouts using cohorts and metrics to evaluate cohort performance.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on data analysis skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
  • Strong business intelligence and data visualization skills; Looker preferred or similar BI tools.
  • Ability to present data in a clear, consumable way that drives decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills; can distill complex findings into compelling narratives.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with analytics programming (e.g., Python or other).
