Senior Principal Technical Program Manager

Role overview

Senior Principal Technical Program Manager (US-based) partnering with a technology transformation initiative. You will lead large, cross-functional execution across Product, Engineering, Architecture, UX, Data, Governance, and Operations—connecting AI-driven workflows, platform capabilities, governance, and customer-facing experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale, cross-functional technical programs across multiple teams and domains (Product, Engineering, Platform, Architecture, UX, Data, Governance, Operations).
• Translate strategic objectives/product vision into structured execution plans: milestones, dependencies, risks, and measurable outcomes.
• Establish program operating mechanisms:
  • roadmap tracking
  • dependency management
  • executive reporting
  • risk mitigation
  • release planning
• Drive alignment across products/platforms/workflows to achieve shared customer and business goals.
• Partner with technical leaders to evaluate tradeoffs, technical dependencies, scalability, and delivery sequencing.
• Build governance frameworks using metrics, readiness indicators, telemetry, and outcome-based measurements.
• Identify and mitigate execution risks and organizational dependencies; manage escalation processes.
• Provide executive-level communication on progress, risks, confidence levels, decisions, and business impact.
• Leverage AI-enabled workflows and automation to improve delivery speed, transparency, and execution quality.
• Contribute to the evolution of technical program management practices across complex enterprise initiatives.

Requirements

• 10+ years leading enterprise-scale technical programs in SaaS, cloud, platform, enterprise software, or related environments.
• Experience managing complex initiatives across multiple engineering teams, products, platforms, and executive stakeholders.
• Proven ability to turn strategy into actionable execution through planning, governance, dependency/risk management, and measurable results.
• Advanced systems thinking connecting architecture, delivery, customer experience, and business objectives.
• Experience partnering with Engineering and Architecture leaders on technical decisions and delivery priorities.
• Strong technical understanding of cloud platforms and enterprise/distributed systems, data platforms, workflow solutions, and/or AI-enabled products.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience building outcome/telemetry-driven governance and readiness indicators for enterprise delivery.
• Demonstrated success operating in ambiguity and scaling modern program management practices.
