About the role
Role Overview
Join Anaplan’s Finance Center of Excellence as a Senior Principal Product Manager (Applications). You will shape and own the product lifecycle for Finance Applications supporting planning, forecasting, and reporting use cases, from concept through delivery, adoption, and implementation.
Key Missions
- Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for specific Finance Applications targeting the office of the CFO.
- Drive delivery by:
- gathering and prioritizing application requirements,
- documenting and managing application design,
- ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate Finance Applications into Anaplan’s GTM motion, including support for:
- conceptual demos,
- supporting content creation.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end application product development for Finance use cases.
- Coordinate requirements, design documentation, and delivery execution.
- Ensure successful adoption and implementation with internal and cross-functional partners.
Requirements
- Proven application product management expertise.
- Ability to optimize processes with strong rigor around detail and deadlines.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Experience building multi-dimensional planning models, ideally on the Anaplan platform.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
- 8+ years of related experience.
- Strong understanding of financial planning processes, methodologies, and systems (FP&A domain expertise).
- Proven experience in product management and application development, specifically for finance-related software.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Nice-to-Haves
- Strong understanding of modern AI concepts including generative AI, LLMs, and agentic frameworks.
