Role Overview

Join Docker as a Senior Principal Product Manager (AI & Agent Platform) in a 0-to-1 product role. You will define product strategy, own the roadmap, and partner with a high-velocity team to build and iterate on a new AI & agent platform for developers.

Responsibilities

Define product strategy and own the roadmap for a new platform at the intersection of AI, containers, and developer experience
Work with a small, high-velocity team across engineering, design, and go-to-market to decide what to build, ship, learn, and iterate
Drive delivery from conception through delivery
Write requirements, collaborate with engineering to scope and prioritize, and ship iteratively
Measure outcomes and improve based on results
Define and evolve the developer experience (from API design to CLI ergonomics and error messages)
Represent the customer and translate customer needs into product decisions

Requirements

10+ years of product management experience
Builder mentality: comfortable prototyping, getting hands-on with early iterations, and improvising
0-to-1 experience: taken products from idea through launch in fast-moving environments
Deep technical fluency:
- Can read architecture diagrams and understand container/VM runtimes
- Working knowledge of AI agents, LLMs, and protocol-level tool connectivity
Developer tools / infrastructure / platform background (at least 5 years in developer tools, infrastructure, or platform products)
Strong communication skills: write crisp product briefs, present to executives, and debate technical tradeoffs
Comfort with ambiguity and rapid change in a fast-moving new space
Experience growing and monetizing products at scale, including pricing/packaging and go-to-market decisions

Nice-to-haves

Experience with the agentic AI ecosystem and/or AI/ML developer tooling
Experience building products in containers, cloud-native, or DevOps spaces
Contributions to open source
Experience scaling a business from zero to meaningful ARR
