Senior Platform Manager (Payment Platform Accounts)

Role overview

As a Senior Platform Manager (Payment Platform Accounts) at Airbnb, you’ll define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Payment Accounts area. You’ll lead cross-functional initiatives across Payments, Trust, Guest & Host, and Compliance, and partner closely with external enterprise partners.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute roadmaps for the Payment Accounts product area, translating organizational priorities into plans, requirements, and measurable outcomes.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with partner teams to build and scale foundational Payment Platform capabilities.
• Build partnerships across the organization (Operations, Compliance, Finance, Legal) and with external enterprise customers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in product management, specifically payment platforms or fintech products.
• Proven ability to set product area strategy, success criteria, and align partners around priorities and tradeoffs.
• Experience with API-based / developer-facing platforms, able to engage credibly with engineering teams and external developer partners.
• Demonstrated experience building enterprise or B2B2C products for large marketplaces, including familiarity with:
  • Identity workflows
  • Compliance requirements
  • Fraud & losses
• Ability to operate across multi-geography/currency/regulatory environments.
• Strong prioritization and decision-making skills; can communicate rationale clearly to stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• Technical domain experience in multi-rail payment processing & operations.
• Experience scaling digital wallets and identity services.
• Experience with consumer marketplaces / two-sided platforms with both B2B and B2C surfaces.
• Experience scaling products from 0 → 1 in ambiguous environments.
• Experience with AI prototypes in product development.
