About the role

Role Overview

Senior Platform Engineer to architect, design, develop, and maintain the Bridgeway platform powering software development and deployment. You’ll combine software engineering, systems architecture, and operations to deliver robust, scalable cloud platform capabilities, with an emphasis on DevOps/DevSecOps/SRE practices.

Responsibilities

Iteratively design and develop scalable, resilient, efficient platform solutions using cloud services and modern design practices.
Build modular, reusable infrastructure using Terraform and related tooling.
Strengthen DevOps practices through automation in partnership with cross-functional teams.
Architect, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for platform and customer needs at scale.
Apply event-driven, object-oriented, and functional design patterns to deliver solutions.
Own monitoring and logging to ensure reliability and performance.
Define and maintain a platform lifecycle process for updates, patches, and security compliance.
Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues, analyze performance, and implement improvements and optimizations.
Plan and anticipate infrastructure scaling needs.
Apply a security-first approach aligned with SOC, SOC2, HIPAA, and NIST requirements.
Implement and manage IAM, firewalls, and SIEM solutions.
Integrate diverse/non-traditional systems and solve complex problems creatively.
Lead assigned projects and drive cross-team collaboration, delivery, and accountability.
Write clean, well-documented code and follow established development standards.
Participate in an on-call rotation to maintain platform availability.
Use generative AI tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) to streamline workflows and improve delivery.

Requirements

5+ years experience in platform, cloud, or SRE engineering.
Advanced knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
Strong understanding of scripting languages: Python, Bash, PowerShell (or similar).
Experience transitioning legacy environments to modern cloud practices.
Strong Git and collaborative workflows.
Intermediate Terraform (or CloudFormation) and other Infrastructure as Code.
Intermediate experience building CI/CD pipelines.
Intermediate proficiency with Agile and SDLC.
Intermediate experience with container tooling such as Docker, Podman, LXC, or similar.
Comfortable working in ambiguity; strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Experience using generative AI tools.

Nice to Have

(Implicit) Familiarity with additional regulatory/security tooling and practices supporting SOC/SOC2/HIPAA/NIST compliance.
