Senior Platform Engineer

Role: Senior Platform Engineer

Own and deliver technical projects that improve the Bestow Platform’s scalability, reliability, and developer experience.

What you’ll do

• Cloud infrastructure
  • Implement and evolve infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or Pulumi.
  • Automate and monitor the Kubernetes-based platform and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Contribute tooling that improves repeatability, safety, and visibility.
• Developer productivity
  • Build internal CLI tools, shared libraries, and scripts to accelerate workflows.
  • Reduce developer friction by improving build/test/deploy loops.
  • Help define standards for service configuration, secrets management, and app-level observability.
• Platform resilience
  • Create dashboards, alerts, and runbooks for platform-owned services.
  • Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident improvements.
  • Propose/prototype changes to improve availability, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or Pulumi) and understanding CI/CD workflows.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and experience with at least one language/scripting option (e.g., Go, Python, Bash, TypeScript).
• Hands-on experience using AI agents (e.g., Claude Code) for engineering tasks, with the ability to direct agents effectively via clear context.
