Senior Platform Engineer

Role Overview

Join Autodesk’s CloudOS team as a Senior Platform Engineer. You will design, build, operate, and scale the CloudOS platform in a hybrid setup, partnering with internal engineering teams to enhance platform capabilities and drive adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance features within the CloudOS platform.
• Manage and operate underlying infrastructure, focusing on reliability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with application teams to understand CI/CD requirements, provide support and troubleshooting, and evangelize best practices for using CloudOS.
• Build automation for provisioning and deployment and support CI/CD pipeline integrations.

Requirements

• 5+ years in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (e.g., Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Strong container experience: Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with at least one public cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP (with strong AWS expertise).
• Proficiency in scripting and/or programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java).
• Solid CI/CD knowledge with hands-on tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Spinnaker, Argo CD, or Argo Workflows.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Dynatrace, ELK Stack).
• Strong communication, collaboration, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Direct, hands-on experience managing/configuring/extending CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with GitOps workflows.

Nice to Have

• Experience contributing to open-source projects related to cloud-native/CI-CD tooling.
• Experience building/supporting internal developer platforms/tools.
• Familiarity with multi-region cloud application architectures and deployment strategies.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes operations and management.
