Senior Platform DevOps Engineer (Cloud + On-Prem)

Role overview

As a Senior Platform DevOps Engineer (Cloud + On-Prem), you will architect, automate, deploy, and maintain hybrid infrastructure that supports engineering teams and customer deployments. You’ll collaborate with software, infrastructure, and security teams to improve platform reliability and capabilities across cloud and on-prem.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, automate, deploy, and maintain cloud and hybrid infrastructure for internal engineering and external customer environments.
• Build and manage deployment automation across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid setups.
• Maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) repositories.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, rollback, and recovery to improve platform reliability.
• Work with security teams to implement guardrails.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud infrastructure.
• Automation experience with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Helm, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of networking, secrets management, environment design, and operational reliability.
• Degree in CS/Software Engineering or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred / nice-to-haves

• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to obtain and maintain active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
• Public cloud experience: AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Experience building deployment workflows for cloud + on-prem.
• Strong scripting/automation with Bash and/or Python.
• Experience supporting customer-hosted, regulated, or government environments.
• Observability, incident response, and SRE practices.
• Familiarity with GitOps and tools such as ArgoCD.
• Knowledge of compliance-oriented automation and auditability.
• Experience operating in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Location/working model
