Senior Platform Developer

Role Overview

The Senior Platform Developer designs, develops, and maintains the firm’s Microsoft SharePoint platforms (SharePoint Online and on-premises) and Microsoft Power Platform applications. Operating in a remote, firm-wide capacity, you will build scalable, secure, and user-centric solutions and collaborate with attorneys and business teams to translate needs into technical implementations.

Responsibilities

Application Development

• Build custom solutions with:
  • SharePoint Online and SharePoint on-premises
  • Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven)
  • Power Pages
  • Power Automate
• Create responsive forms and workflows to streamline business processes.

Copilot & AI Integration

• Implement Microsoft 365 Copilot, AI Builder, and Azure Cognitive Services.
• Deliver intelligent features such as natural language processing and document automation.

Data & API Integration

• Integrate Power Platform and SharePoint with internal/external systems using:
  • REST APIs
  • Microsoft Graph
  • Custom connectors
  • SQL Server and Dataverse
• Ensure secure and efficient data flows across hybrid environments.

Analytics & Reporting

• Create interactive Power BI dashboards and reports using Power Platform/SharePoint/Dataverse and other data sources.

Governance & Security

• Apply Microsoft 365 governance best practices including:
  • DLP policies
  • Environment strategy
  • Permission management
  • Content retention
• Ensure compliance with firm policies and legal industry regulations.

Collaboration & Mentorship

• Gather requirements with attorneys, practice groups, and business support teams.
• Mentor junior developers and citizen developers; support training and adoption.

Platform Administration

• Manage SharePoint Online and on-premises environments, including site collections, integrations, and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with infrastructure and security teams to deploy updates and resolve issues.

Agile Delivery & Project Leadership

• Work in Agile/Scrum to manage multiple priorities.
• Lead technical initiatives and improve development practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years hands-on experience developing and administering SharePoint and Power Platform solutions.
• Deep experience with SharePoint Online and SharePoint Subscription Edition (site configuration, farm administration, SPFx development).
• Proficiency in Power Apps (Canvas/Model-Driven), Power Pages, Power Automate, and Power BI.
• Strong SPFx development skills plus front-end web skills: React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS.
• Integration experience with REST APIs, Microsoft Graph, custom connectors.
• Database/integration experience with SQL Server and Dataverse.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience integrating Microsoft 365 Copilot and Azure Cognitive Services.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 governance and compliance practices (DLP, retention, permissions).
