About the role

Role Overview

Senior Paralegal focused on Employment & Litigation in a remote-first environment. You will support a legal team by managing complex employment and litigation matters, coordinating case operations, and improving legal workflows using legal technology (including AI-powered solutions).

Responsibilities

  • Manage employment and litigation case activities, including:
    • Maintaining litigation calendars
    • Coordinating discovery and supporting e-discovery workflows
    • Collecting, organizing, and managing documents
    • Scheduling interviews and coordinating with outside legal partners
  • Conduct legal research on employment laws, regulations, and case law; provide clear summaries and insights to support strategy.
  • Support document review and data collection for e-discovery, including technology-enabled legal processes.
  • Implement and maintain legal technology solutions (including AI tools) to improve:
    • Research
    • Document analysis
    • Case management
    • Service delivery
  • Assist with outside counsel and vendor management, including:
    • Tracking budgets
    • Reviewing billing
    • Supporting legal operations processes
  • Support insurance and financial reporting related to active legal matters.
  • Identify opportunities to improve legal team workflows, processes, and operational practices.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of paralegal experience, with substantial experience supporting employment law and litigation matters.
  • Strong understanding of employment law fundamentals, including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, and FLSA, plus related state employment regulations.
  • Proven experience with discovery/e-discovery, document management, and litigation support processes.
  • Experience coordinating legal operations activities (outside counsel, vendors, budgets, billing).
  • Strong research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills; ability to summarize complex information clearly.
  • Ability to handle confidential legal information with professionalism and discretion.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience using AI tools in a legal/professional environment (research, drafting, summarization, workflow solutions).
  • Ability to evaluate AI outputs critically, craft effective prompts, and know when verification/review is required.
  • Interest in legal technology, process improvement, and project management.
