Role Overview
Senior Node.js Software Engineer (backend Node.js with UI experience in React and/or Angular) working on distributed US teams.
Responsibilities
- Understand and translate fast-moving client business requirements into solutions.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to negotiate and deliver appropriate technical approaches.
- Write and maintain scalable, enterprise-quality software.
- Set up, configure, maintain, and enhance infrastructure supporting JavaScript/Node.js/TypeScript microservices.
- Build and maintain large-scale API systems and REST interfaces for internal/external requests.
- Create and maintain data/analytics-driven environments and campaign management systems.
- Implement unit/integration tests suitable for continuous integration.
- Drive feature engineering and experimentation to improve algorithm performance.
- Evaluate technical trade-offs and help shape best-in-class solutions via advisory and education.
Requirements
- Strong production experience with JavaScript / Node.js / TypeScript.
- Backend Node.js expertise.
- UI experience with React and/or Angular.
- 4+ years in a production environment (plus).
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in CS/engineering or equivalent experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience with media/ad sales.
- Docker.
- Shell scripting.
- Git.
- JIRA, Datadog, Splunk, and/or Jenkins.
Additional Details
- Non-management role; full-time.
- US-based only; remote.
- Compensation: $125,000–$160,000/year plus potential yearly bonus.
